TrailSplits is a fast, privacy-first route planner for trail runners, hikers, and cyclists. Plan routes with real-time elevation data, import and export GPX files, and share routes with a simple link — all without creating an account.
Why TrailSplits exists
Most route planners require sign-up before you can do anything useful. TrailSplits takes a different approach: open the planner, click on the map, and you have a route with elevation profile and GPX export in seconds. No login walls, no premium upsells for basic features, no tracking cookies.

Built on open data
TrailSplits is powered by OpenStreetMap data, open-source routing engines, and open Digital Elevation Models. The map tiles, contour lines, and terrain rendering are all produced from public datasets and served from our own infrastructure — no third-party map API middlemen.
