A single point-to-point loop on urban streets, with the finish about 1.5 km from the start. From Passeig de Gracia the field runs northeast along Gran Via past La Monumental at km 2, turns west along Carrer d'Arago past Casa Batllo at km 4 and comes back through the Eixample grid, crosses the Bac de Roda bridge at about km 10 into La Sagrera for the northern turn at km 11.5, returns down Avinguda Meridiana and runs southwest along Carrer de Mallorca past the Sagrada Familia at km 14 and a block from La Pedrera to the western turn at km 17. It recrosses Passeig de Gracia at Placa de Catalunya at km 19.4, loops through Sant Antoni to Avinguda del Parallel, reaches the Monument a Colom at km 24.7, passes the Parc de la Ciutadella to the Port Olimpic at km 28 and follows the seafront along Avinguda del Litoral and Passeig de Taulat to the Parc del Forum at km 31.7. An out-and-back on Avinguda Diagonal turns near Carrer de Bilbao at km 33.4, and the last eight kilometres come back through Poblenou and the Vila Olimpica, with a short Gran Via stretch before the finish on Passeig de Lluis Companys under the Arc de Triomf. The organizer publishes no elevation figure; on the 2026 line the only named bridge is Bac de Roda, and the rest follows the gentle seaward slope of the Eixample grid and the flat seafront.

Three decisions to make before race day
Choose your start box before 1 February 2027
Your start box is the one chosen at registration, and it can only be changed before 1 February 2027. Boxes are staggered by declared pace, so do not pick one faster than you can hold.
More detail
The box you select at registration is the one you start in, and the rules allow a change only before 1 February 2027 through the registration management page. Starts are staggered by declared pace, so an optimistic box puts you in a wave faster than you can hold; a move to a faster box after the deadline is not offered through the portal.
Plan a rear-box finish against the 16:00 closure, not the six-hour figure
Six hours from the last starter and a 16:00 closure both apply, and box start times are not published. A rear-box runner near six hours should plan to finish by 16:00 and set checkpoints from that clock.
More detail
The rules set two limits, six hours from the last starter and a 16:00 course closure, and do not publish the box start times, so you cannot tell which binds. A runner in a rear box aiming near six hours should plan to be done by 16:00 and treat the six-hour figure as a ceiling, not an entitlement; with no intermediate cut-offs published, set your own checkpoints from the 16:00 clock.
Be at the expo by Saturday 13 March 20:00
Bibs and shoe chips are issued only in person at Expo Sports, Thursday to Saturday, closing at 20:00 on Saturday 13 March. The venue is not yet announced, and a third party can collect with your receipt and identity document.

What each source confirms
- Race regulation: The 14 March 2027 date, the 08:30 start and 08:25 wheelchair start, the 16:00 race end and six hours from the last starter, unpublished time controls, the start boxes and the 1 February 2027 change deadline, the 37,000 quota and price bands, the 7 March 2027 closing, the expo-only bib pickup with no race-day issue, the shoe chip and the route-change clause.
- Course page: The Passeig de Gracia start, staggered starts by declared pace, the pacer paces, and the 2026 course map PDF and Strava route from which the landmark order and the map were taken; the map is 2026 vintage and no elevation figure is given.
- City Council mobility notice: The 2026 start between Gran Via and Placa de Catalunya and the 2026 finish on Passeig de Lluis Companys. 2026 facts, not 2027 confirmations.
