What to expect on the course

The reference loop starts in Tiergarten and approaches the finish through Brandenburg Gate. The gate is a landmark on the finishing approach, not the timing line itself.

Three decisions to make before race day

  1. Do not sprint at the gate

Use the final approach on the map to understand the remaining distance beyond Brandenburg Gate. Reserve your finishing effort for the actual line.

  2. Separate your wave from the first gun

Wave queues can change your clock-time margin without changing your net target. Recalculate with your assigned start, then check the 33 km deadline separately.

  3. Plan your finish-area belongings

Bag-drop and poncho arrangements depend on your booking. Decide where to meet companions before entering the start area. With this edition close, use the training preview for its preparation-window check, not a last-minute fitness shortcut.

Target finish time, including stops

The initial value is the first published start, not your assigned wave. Europe/Berlin.

Time limit: 6 h 15 net time; the finish closes at 17:00

How this sheet applies the limit

The organizer lists 6 h 15 net time and a 17:00 finish closure. A separate deadline at 33 km is not validated by this sheet: the race-day page and race briefing give 15:40, while the FAQ gives 15:50 and adds 16:35 at 38 km, so plan for the earlier times. The first runners start at 08:45; enter your own start-line crossing.

A timing comparison, not a fitness assessment. Intermediate cutoffs, queues, weather and terrain are not modelled. Stops are spread evenly in the illustration; actual checkpoint times will differ.
