One certified loop from Boulevard 1945: east along Gronausestraat to a turnaround in Glanerbrug near the German border, north through Stokhorst and a countryside loop past Lonneker, west across the University of Twente campus with an out-and-back on Hengelosestraat, past Kennispark and the stadium, a second rural loop through Twekkelo west of the Twentekanaal, then back through Twekkelerveld, Van Heekpark, the station and the Oude Markt to the finish. Three decisions to make before race day
Enter by 14 March 2027 or accept the last corral
Only entries made on or before 14 March 2027 get a corral assigned from the predicted finish time, a named bib and merchandise. Later entrants are placed in the last corral automatically, and the corral colour on the bib is the only start-area entrance.
Pace the back half against the gates, not the finish clock
From the 10:00 start, reaching 35.1 km by 15:00 and 41 km by 15:50 both require about 8:33 per kilometre on average. A runner aiming near the 5 h 30 limit is removed at those gates before the 16:00 finish closure comes into play.
Decide on personal bottles the day before
Own sports drink is accepted only on the Saturday at Connect-U, in bottles no taller than 24 cm labelled with bib number and aid-station kilometre. Hand-ups from cyclists are banned and lead to immediate disqualification under the race rules.
