What to expect on the course

  • Out and back on Marynarki Polskiej towards Nowy Port, turning at about km 3.6 (2026 route)

  • The high ground, up to 25 m, on Aleja Grunwaldzka between km 18 and 24

  • Back along the seafront path to Brzeźno near km 38 (2026 route)

A single lap on closed roads from and back to the Polsat Plus Arena stadium, certified by PZLA, the Polish athletics federation, on race day. The 2027 route will be shown about 30 days before the start because of roadworks; the organizer plans to keep its landmarks, from the European Solidarity Centre to the ERGO Arena. In 2026 the field ran out and back on Marynarki Polskiej towards Nowy Port, turning at km 3.6, passed the shipyard and the Solidarity Centre near km 9, crossed the Ołowianka drawbridge near km 11.6 and wound through the Main Town past the Green Gate and Neptune to the Shakespeare Theatre at km 13. From km 15 it followed Aleja Zwycięstwa and Aleja Grunwaldzka to Oliwa at km 24, circled the ERGO Arena at km 25.5, ran an out-and-back on Chłopska and Aleja Rzeczypospolitej turning near km 29.6, turned again by Jelitkowo beach at km 35 and came back along the seafront path to Brzeźno near km 38. The organizer's 2026 profile gives 111 m of gain between 0 and 25 m, the high ground on Grunwaldzka at km 18 to 24, and the rules mention cobbled and gravel stretches. The 2027 rules list 11 provisional aid stations from km 5.3 to km 40.7, and pacers in 2026 ran from 3:00 to 5:00.

Three decisions to make before race day

  1. Pace for the 5 h 30 finish, not for the first cut-off

The cut-offs allow 8:24 per km to km 20 but the finish needs 7:49 per km, all from the last wave's start: pace for 5 h 30, not for the first checkpoint.

    More detail

All cut-offs run from the last wave's start signal: km 20 by 2:48, km 30 by 4:05, km 40 by 5:21 and the finish by 5:30. That is 8:24 per km to km 20 but 7:49 per km over the whole race, so a runner who only just beats km 20 cannot finish in time. Runners in earlier zones gain the minutes their wave leaves before the last.

  2. Collect your bib at AmberExpo on Friday or Saturday, or pay for delivery

Pickup is at AmberExpo on Friday 23 or Saturday 24 April, and the programme lists no race-morning slot; courier delivery costs 50 zł if ordered by 31 March 2027.

    More detail

The 2027 programme lists pickup in AmberExpo Hall A on Friday 23 April 14:00 to 21:00 and Saturday 24 April 10:00 to 21:00, and no race-morning slot, although the rules keep the race office open until 25 April. Bring photo ID; a proxy needs the QR code sent in race week plus your ID. Courier delivery costs 50 zł, must be ordered by 31 March 2027 and is sent between 12 and 16 April.

  3. Enter before the price steps, and settle zone and transfer by early April

Prices rise from 199 zł after October 2026 and are not refunded; transfers close on 4 April 2027 and zone changes on 11 April 2027.

    More detail

The fee is 199 zł until the end of October 2026 and rises about every two months to 359 zł at the race office; a Gdańsk resident card takes 10 percent off, and nothing is refunded. A transfer to another runner must be emailed by 4 April 2027 and a change of start zone made by 11 April 2027.

Target finish time, including stops

The initial value is the first published start, not your assigned wave. Europe/Warsaw.

Time limit: 5 h 30, counted from the last wave's start signal

How this sheet applies the limit

The limit is 5 h 30, and it and every cut-off run from the last start signal, not from your own crossing: km 20 by 2:48, km 25 by 3:26, km 30 by 4:05, km 35 by 4:43 and km 40 by 5:21. The wave times for the nine start zones are not published, so no closing clock can be given. Runners over a limit must leave the course and may ride to the finish in the vehicle marked KONIEC BIEGU, ranked DNF. Official times are net.

A timing comparison, not a fitness assessment. Intermediate cutoffs, queues, weather and terrain are not modelled. Stops are spread evenly in the illustration; actual checkpoint times will differ.
