Read the full course description

A one-lap point-to-point in south and central Mumbai with three short out-and-backs, measured by World Athletics and AIMS measurers in January 2026. In 2026 it started at CSMT, ran through the Fort district past Flora Fountain and Churchgate to Marine Drive, turned on Madame Cama Road near km 4 and at the NCPA near km 5, then followed Marine Drive north past Girgaon Chowpatty. The main climb comes at Kemps Corner and Peddar Road from about km 9.5 to 11.5, roughly 25 to 40 m from near sea level, followed by a descent to Haji Ali. New in 2026, the field then took the Coastal Road north for about 4 km onto the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, which rises gently to its cable-stayed span and lands at Bandra near halfway. The second half passes Mahim, Shivaji Park and Prabhadevi to Worli, turns at Worli Dairy near km 30, runs back south on the Coastal Road, turns again at Haji Ali and climbs Peddar Road a second time at about km 36 to 37. The last 4 km are flat, down Marine Drive past Wankhede Stadium to the finish. About 11 km on the Coastal Road and Sea Link are open to the sea breeze. The organizer's current pages give no aid-station spacing or pacer times for 2027.

Three decisions to make before race day

  1. Send your fastest certificate before 10 November

Your wave comes from your certificate, from A up to 4:00 to E beyond 5:30. A faster result can move you only until 10 November 2026, and the start line shuts at 05:30.

    More detail

Your wave comes from the certificate you submit: A up to 4:00, B to 4:30, C to 5:00, D to 5:30 and E beyond. A faster result can move you only until 10 November 2026, by email, and nothing changes at the expo. Waves run from 05:00 and the start line shuts at 05:30, so plan for long queues at the gates.

  2. Run Peddar Road twice by effort, not pace

Peddar Road, roughly 25 to 40 m, comes at about km 10 and again at km 36 to 37, and about 11 km on the Coastal Road and Sea Link are exposed. Hold back early.

    More detail

The climb at Kemps Corner and Peddar Road, roughly 25 to 40 m, comes at about km 10 and again at km 36 to 37. The Coastal Road ramps and the Sea Link add small rises, and about 11 km there are exposed. Hold back on the first climb and the flat Marine Drive start; the second climb decides the finish.

  3. Book a bib slot and collect it at the expo

Bibs only at the PLAYSCAPE expo, 14 to 16 January 2027, in a booked slot with photo ID or through one representative, until 17:00 on Saturday; no race-day pickup.

    More detail

Bibs are issued only at the PLAYSCAPE expo, 14 to 16 January 2027, in a slot you book; runners from outside Mumbai get Saturday priority. Bring your confirmation and photo ID, or send one representative with your confirmation, your ID and theirs. Nothing is posted, and the expo closes at 17:00 on Saturday, so there is no race-day pickup.

Target finish time, including stops

The 2027 start-wave page gives waves from 05:00 with the start line closing at 05:30, but the 2027 start and finish venues and each wave's clock time are not yet published; the venues shown are those of 2026. Asia/Kolkata.

Time limit: 7 hours from your own start, on chip time

How this sheet applies the limit

Results and timing certificates are given only to runners who finish within 7 hours of their own start, so the limit runs on chip time from your crossing, not from the gun. Waves go from 05:00 and nobody may start after the start line closes at 05:30. No intermediate cut-offs are published for 2027. In 2026 a finish vehicle left Bandra Reclamation, near halfway, at 09:30 to reopen the roads, and runners behind it continued on the footpath.

A timing comparison, not a fitness assessment. Intermediate cutoffs, queues, weather and terrain are not modelled. Stops are spread evenly in the illustration; actual checkpoint times will differ.
