A single asphalt loop from the City of Arts and Sciences that the organizer calls the fastest and flattest in the world. It crosses the Pont de Montolivet, runs east on Avinguda de les Balears to the Marina at 3 km, north through the Cabanyal and west along Avinguda dels Tarongers, turns at the avenue's western end and threads the Blasco Ibanez and Catalunya grid and the northern ring boulevard to the Alameda around km 13 to 14. A second eastern sweep along Aragon and Blasco Ibanez to a turnaround at Jose Maria Haro at km 17, back down Ramon Llull, along Tarongers eastbound and the Carrer de la Reina past halfway, returns by the port and the Eduard Bosca loop to Placa de Saragossa at 25 km. The north bank of the old riverbed leads over the Pont de les Arts at 28 km into the old town, out west to the Bioparc at 34 km, back over the Pont del Nou d'Octubre and Tres Creus, and home by Avinguda del Cid, the Estacio del Nord, Colon and the Porta de la Mar to the promenade finish. The organizer's profile spans 1.8 to 18 m.

Three decisions to make before race day

  1. Check the 25 km clock against your wave, not the 5 h 30 figure

The cut-off at Placa de Saragossa is an absolute 12:57. A runner in the 09:35 wave has 3 h 22 to cover 25 km, about 8:05 per kilometre, well inside the 5 h 30 limit but tighter than most people plan for; the course itself closes at 15:15.

  2. Collect your bib at Feria Valencia by Saturday 19:00

The expo is outside the centre and closes at 19:00 on Saturday 5 December; the organizer states that neither bibs nor race bags are issued on the Sunday. A third party may collect with the authorisation set up in the runner portal from 7 November.

  3. Treat a resale bib as a cancelled bib

Entries are sold out and the organizer cancels transferred bibs that bypass its name-change process, which costs 5 euro until 6 November and 25 euro until 26 November and stops entirely afterwards. The refund service returns 80 percent only until 29 November.

Target finish time, including stops

The initial value is the first published start, not your assigned wave. Europe/Madrid.

Time limit: 5 h 30 from your own start crossing; the course closes at 15:15

How this sheet applies the limit

The rules allow 5 h 30 counted from your own crossing of the start line, and the course closes at 15:15 after the 08:15 first wave. One intermediate cut-off is published: anyone reaching 25 km at Placa de Saragossa after 12:57 must hand in the bib and board the sweep vehicle, which the organizer notes already accounts for the wave offsets. The organizer's own calendar entry ends at 15:30, which contradicts the 15:15 in the rules; this sheet uses the rules and checks the finish clock only.

A timing comparison, not a fitness assessment. Intermediate cutoffs, queues, weather and terrain are not modelled. Stops are spread evenly in the illustration; actual checkpoint times will differ.
