Vector basemap tiles use range requests; the route + elevation still render offline from page data.

Race-week, condition and route-room alerts when the app is closed.
iOS requires 16.4+ and the app installed to the home screen.
○ Keep screen awake
Stop the screen sleeping while you follow a route outdoors.
iOS supports the Screen Wake Lock API from 16.4+.
○ Native share sheet
Share routes, itineraries and race cards via the OS share sheet.

Find routes and conditions near you.
○ Persistent storage
Ask the OS not to evict your saved offline maps.
○ App icon badge
Show unread counts on the app icon.
The Badging API is not available on iOS PWAs yet.
○ Open GPX files
Register as a handler so GPX files open in TrailSplits.
File handling is Chromium-only today; native apps will close this gap.
