Mountain hut
About this hut: An unstaffed CAS Diablerets chalet above Le Sépey, used for self-catering stays and walks in the Mont d’Or–Hongrin area. All-year reservation-based operation is separate from present path, military access and winter transport conditions.
Notice: Open all year in self-management without a resident guardian; advance reservation is essential. This does not mean the door is open or beds are available without arrangements. Source read 2026-10-25.
Notice: Water comes from a spring, but its quality is not controlled. The owner strongly recommends boiling it before drinking. Source read 2026-10-25.
Notice: Approach estimates differ: the webpage gives 2–2.5 hours from Le Sépey or La Comballaz; the linked brochure gives 2 hours from Le Sépey and 1 hour from La Comballaz. The brochure describes 10 minutes on foot from Pierre du Moëllé, where parking is mandatory. Source read 2026-10-25.
Notice: The Mont d’Or–Hongrin region includes military ground. The owner says weekend access is normally free but occasional weekday exercises occur; consult firing notices before walking from Pierre du Moëllé towards La Lécherette or Hongrin. Source read 2026-10-25.
