The recorded source starts about 149 metres from the Baeckwirt map point and then passes the inn on the descent. The original start is retained; it is not placed at the inn door. The full route includes the B111 asphalt section and road exposure, and should not be read as a traffic-free river walk. Source read 2026-10-31.
The publisher gives 12.89 km, 355 m ascent and 61 m descent, at 1107-1457 m. This complete mapped reference measures 12.87 km, 515 m ascent and 216 m descent, with sampled heights 1109-1460 m. Allow for the measured climb; the original publisher difficulty remains unchanged. Source read 2026-10-31.
At the Rauter bridge area the original route turns up towards the B111; it does not add a crossing into Raut. Farther west the path continues east-west beside the south end of a private bridge. That private bridge deck is not part of this walk and no permission to cross it is implied. The complete original one-way finish into Obertilliach is retained, without an invented return or transport connection. Source read 2026-10-31.
The original national difficulty is S with 75/100 and fitness SS with 100/100; the family-friendly description does not lower those publisher ratings. The May-October suggestion does not confirm current access, snow, weather, bus services, parking or venue opening. Prepare the return journey separately. No automatic navigation clearance is provided. Source read 2026-10-31.

A recommendation for the whole outing is kept with that itinerary. Only separately reviewed, precisely matched path stretches receive map support. Repeated descriptions from one publisher family add no independent votes.
