Mountain valleys, lakes and the approach to Saltoluokta.
Cabins and mountain stations. Allow for the Teusajaure crossing and the road-and-boat connection via Vakkotavare and Kebnats.
Reach Nikkaluokta via Kiruna. Saltoluokta connects by boat to Kebnats, then onward by bus.

Carry camping equipment for nights between accommodation. This is a hiking route with several boat crossings, not a missing bus connection.
Use Kvikkjokk and Ammarnäs as gateways, with Jäkkvik and Adolfström useful intermediate access points. Arrange required boats separately.

STF describes Kungsleden as just over 450 km between Abisko and Hemavan. The overview shows 473.4 km of mapped tracks, including side routes, repeated paths and gaps. It is useful for exploring the area, but is not the standard through-hike. Use the 22 sections to compare terrain, then choose walking days around the stays and connections in your official trip guide.
