Spring 2027 marathons: when to start training

59 road marathons between March and June 2027 with a confirmed date and a reviewed course, each with the Monday on which a 12, 16 or 20 week plan starts so that race week is the last week.

A start date is the first Monday of a dated schedule that ends on race day. Each plan assumes a stated starting point of recent training and adjusts to your own on the race page; it is planning guidance from the race date and distance, not coaching or medical advice. Only races with a confirmed edition date and a reviewed course appear here, and a race stays listed as completed after its date rather than being moved to an unconfirmed next edition.

What the plan pages do

  • Each race page carries a reviewed course with map, profile and 3D flyover, a race-day sheet with the official cut-offs, and three free dated plans at different goals.
  • Plans can be kept on your device, printed or added to a calendar without an account. Adjusting the starting point opens the same plan in the race finder.
  • Sources and review dates are listed on every guide. When an organizer changes a date or course, the guide changes with it and says so.
